Pragrup Studio, completed in the year 2015, and located in Jayanagar Bangalore, is designed to serve as the workspace for architects. The chosen site had an existing building since 1947. Retaining the old building, the studio extension was designed as a lightweight structure, supported entirely out of steel sections and reclaimed wood.

Large glass panels along the street-facing façade light up the interior spaces.

A spacious central courtyard is hidden within. At alternate floors, a large terrace covered in sliced hollow clay bricks opens out onto the courtyard. The approach is sensitive to location and culture, combining the latest advances in building technology with techniques drawn from vernacular tradition.
