Models are a vivid and direct means of communication. They explain and clarify, bridging between concept and built reality as well as between designer, client and user.
Making models is an integral part of our design process and the most direct way of exploring spatial, structural and formal issues. We strive to make models that are precisely constructed and accurate in representing core ideas.
Our in-house model shop facilitates the act of making as a way of thinking. Models are either sculpted from solid materials or constructed from applied or folded layers. Traditional ways of making by hand are combined with the latest technologies of laser cutting, CNC machining and rapid prototyping. Scales range from 1:5000 to 1:1.
