The concept was to create a lightweight, temporary pavilion on a vast green lawn that serves multiple purposes. This pavilion functions as a shaded gathering space for discussions, events, and culinary experiences, while remaining unobtrusive and adaptable. It is designed to blend with it’s surroundings, with a structure made from repurposed steel elements and anchored for stability.

The pavilion’s design evokes the aesthetics of an antique temple, featuring a roof of copper shingles that recalls traditional shrine architecture. Its form, a pentagon with a tensile structure, ensures wind stability and allows for quick assembly and disassembly.

Incorporating elements from nearby historic pavilions and timber verandas, this pavilion integrates seamlessly with its surroundings, offering a refined, adaptable space for social gatherings. It becomes a versatile bar and communal area, providing a welcoming retreat for both daytime and evening use.
